Recently there have been numerous, high-profile incidents involving Critical infrastructure. Many of the elements within these environments are inherently insecure and simple never considered today’s operational environment or threat landscape when initially designed, often many years ago.
The regulation of critical infrastructure under the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (the SOCI Act) now places significant obligations on specific entities in a large variety of industry sectors.
Often these environments run 24×7 operations that easily be interrupted. Securing these environments requires careful design, planning and execution. A comprehensive and integrated approach to security that addresses all potential threats and vulnerabilities is essential.
